Omprakash Basumatary is a dedicated and driven individual with a keen interest in innovation, sustainability, and teamwork. He is currently pursuing a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering at Bineswar Brahma Engineering College, Kokrajhar (Batch: 2023-2027). Originally from Bijni Town, Chirang, Assam, Omprakash is fluent in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Bodo, and Assamese, which allows him to connect effectively with diverse people and teams. Known for his strong core strengths of adaptability, patience, honesty, and strategic thinking, he approaches every project with a focus on perfection, detail, and self-awareness. Omprakash thrives in team-oriented environments, where collaboration and mutual support are key to success. In terms of his values and principles, Omprakash is deeply committed to fairness, sustainability, and innovation. These principles guide his decision-making and approach to problem-solving. Omprakash’s previous work experience has given him valuable exposure to both technical and practical aspects of engineering and business. As a Site Engineer at M.P. SitanI and Sons Co., he contributed to the execution and management of engineering projects. He also completed internships at the Railway Workshop in Bongaigaon and Guwahati, where he gained hands-on experience and further developed his skills in project coordination and execution. Although he has not yet accumulated major achievements, he has developed a solid set of skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and poster designing, which complement his technical background and creative abilities. In joining the Sproutup Incubator, Omprakash seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the administrative and leadership skills required to run a successful startup. He is particularly interested in learning how to manage teams efficiently, oversee day-to-day operations, and make strategic decisions that drive business growth. The incubator’s emphasis on mentorship, networking, funding support, and exposure to the challenges faced by entrepreneurs is something that Omprakash values highly. He hopes to leverage these resources to not only support his own entrepreneurial aspirations but also to contribute to the growth of others in the startup ecosystem. His role as a Startup Coordinator within the incubator involves coordinating startup engagements and helping other budding entrepreneurs navigate the early stages of business development.
